These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the atlasoneaccounting.ca website (the "Site"). By using this Site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please do not use the Site.

1. No Professional-Client Relationship

Important: You only become a client of Atlas One Accounting once we have both signed a formal Engagement Letter. Your use of this Site, and/or other messaging services (i.e. LinkedIn, Bark, etc.) —including sending us an email or filling out a contact form—does not create a professional-client or accountant-client relationship. 

 

2. Not Professional Advice

The content on this Site is for general informational purposes only:

  • Laws Change: Tax laws in Canada (and provincial regulations) change frequently. The information here may not be the most current.

  • Context Matters: Accounting and tax strategies depend entirely on individual facts.

  • Do Not Rely: You should not act, or fail to act, based on anything you read on this Site without first seeking professional advice from a qualified accountant who knows your specific circumstances.

 

3. Intellectual Property

Everything you see here—text, logos, graphics, and the "look and feel" of the Site—is the property of Atlas One Accounting or our licensors.

  • You may: Print or download pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.

  • You may not: Scrape the site, "frame" our content, or use our articles for your own commercial gain without our express written permission.

 

4. Prohibited Use

While we want you to enjoy the Site, you agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates Canadian federal, provincial, or local laws.

  • Attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Site (no hacking or spreading viruses).

  • Use any robot, spider, or automatic device to monitor or copy our content.

This Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for accuracy, Atlas One Accounting makes no representations or warranties that the content is error-free, complete, or up-to-date. Your use of the Site is at your own risk.

 

6. Communications and Email

While we welcome inquiries, please be advised that:

  • Sending an email to our general business address does not create an accountant-client relationship and is not protected by professional privilege.

  • Standard email is not a secure method of communication. Please do not send sensitive personal or financial information (such as Social Insurance Numbers or bank details) via email unless specifically instructed through our secure file-sharing portal.

  • We do not guarantee a response time for unsolicited emails. Sending an email regarding a tax or filing deadline does not obligate Atlas One Accounting to meet that deadline unless a formal engagement is already in place.

 

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Atlas One Accounting and its partners/employees will not be liable for any damages (including, but not limited to, loss of profits or data) arising out of your use—or inability to use—this Site.

 

8. Third-Party Links

Our Site might link to external resources (like the CRA website, QuickBooks or TaxDome). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Use them at your own discretion.

 

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes relating to the Site will be heard in the courts of Ontario.

 

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Site or the law. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the new terms.
